Family Story:

Gaudencio and Norma met here in Ensenada when they both worked for the same employer. They began dating and after some time, moved in with Gaudencio’s father. They lived there for just ine month before deciding to move out due to family problems. They rented a room, but after time, it was just too small. Norma’s father gave them land, but it was then that Norma found out she was pregnant, and it became too difficult for them to build something and live on the land. Gaudencio was in a car accident and hospitalized for one month, and due to the accident, is now unable to lift heavy things. After his recovery, he began working in the fields. He earns around $55 a week for working 7 am to 3:30 pm, 6 days a week. Their daughter has struggled with her health since she was born. They have to use a nebulizer on her frequently to help with her breathing, and she has a harder time when it is cold. Every two weeks they take Lucero to see the pediatrician, and each consultation cost them about $27. They do not have electricity at their house, and the nebulizer they have is electric. Each time Lucero needs the nebulizer, Norma has to take her out of the house and over to her mothers to use the electricty. They need a portable nebulizer so that every time they need to nebulize Lucero, they can do it from their own home. Norma came asking for a house because they do not have extra money to build a home with all the medical expenses of their daughter. They need help.
