Cristal and Ivan’s families were friends before they started dating. After a year together, Cristal got pregnant and they moved in together to start living as a family together. At that time they got a piece of land together and Ivan built them a room with wood and plastic. Before Cristal had Isaac, both her and Ivan worked in the flower fields.Now that Ivan is the only one who works, they do not have enough money to build themselves a proper home to live in. They have been dealing with the rain, leaks into their room, cold, and fear of their son getting sick. They are very grateful to have been considered to receive a Homes of Hope house.
