Family Story:
Flora is a 23 year old single mother from Oaxaca. She has a baby girl named Alison who just turned two, and a second child on the way. Flora met her ex-husband at work, she used to pack vegetables and he was a security guard. They were friends for a while before dating; they were together for about a year and a half before Flora got pregnant with Alison. At the beginning of their relationship they lived with his parents, before eventually buying a plot of land together, which is where Flora currently lives. While they were living together she noticed that he would drink alcohol often, constantly going out with his friends and leaving her alone. They started fighting a lot and she eventually found out that he was cheating on her with another woman; so she told him to move out. Alison´s father does not financially support her, Flora provides for her daughter and herself by selling vegetables 3 days of the week earning between $30-50 dollars. Due to her current pregnancy, she is unable to get a better job.
