Ten years ago Iveth´s family moved to Ensenada because they did not want her to get married at a young age like it was custom to in Oaxaca. When they arrived in Ensenada Iveth started living with her sister and working so she could pay her studies herself. While in high school she met a guy, they got married and had a daughter together. A year later they separated because the husband got involved with drugs. Iveth was able to buy a plot of land by putting her sister down as the owner of the land. Jaimy´s father has never wanted to sign the divorce papers, so half of the property would have automatically been his and Iveth didn’t want that. She has no money to build a house for her and her daughter and for that reason, she has come to Homes of Hope for help.
