FAMILY STORY:
The Vega Zarate family are originally from Oaxaca, a state in the far South of Mexico but they decided to come to Ensenada because they wanted a better place to live, so three years ago they left Oaxaca and came to live in Ensenada.
The place where they found work, gave them a room to live in, but in time they decided to buy their own land with a loan and now it is paid off.
Jose works on a ranch and earns $48 USD approx. a week, and Lucia stays home to take care of their children. They live in a little room made from tarp and cardboard, and it only has one bed where four of them sleep and the other two sleep on cardboard on the floor.
**Right now their daughter, Catalina does not live with them, as she went to Oaxaca.
