FAMILY STORY:
Eusebio and Rocio are originally from Oaxaca in the South of Mexico. They came to Ensenada 11 years ago to better their living conditions, during which time they have been working in the fields. They have four children: Efrain who is 14 years old, Sheila is 12 years old, Erasmo is 11 years old, and Giovani is 9 years old. All of their children are in school, even though they were out of school for a year because they didn't have their papers, so that's why they are a bit behind.
Eusebio works and earns $54 USD approx. per week. Rocio works three times per week and earns $32 USD. The money they both earn together is not sufficient enough for them, as it needs to cover the kids' school fees, clothes, shoes, water, and electricity. Their needs are more than what they earn.
They live in a little room that physically is unlivable as the wood is bad, the roof is made of tarp, and they all live there and eat there, one on top of the other. Their living conditions are not safe at all.
This is a family who needs a home so they can live a better life.
