Alondra is from Mexicali and Julio from Ensenada. They were both in school when they met. They started dating, Alondra got pregnant, and they decided to move in together. They moved in with Alondra’s mother for a time, but from there they started moving in and out of different places. They eventually decided to buy a property with a monthly payment plan and Alondra’s mom donated them the wood so that they could build a small room. Julio works as a security guard in a hotel from Monday through Friday and rests on Tuesdays. He gets paid about $47per week.
