Luis Antonio and Brigida are both from Oaxaca. They moved to Ensenada around 5 years ago searching for a better life since there’s not a lot of opportunities back where they lived. They have two kids: Luis Daniel who’s 5 years old and Tania who’s 3 years old. Tania has had health problems since she was born and has needed to go to the doctor every 3 months since birth. Luis Antonio works on the field from Monday to Saturday and Brigida stays back home taking care of the kids. It’s been really hard for them as a family because their income is really low and they have monthly payments to make like their land payments and personal expenses. They live in a room made out of cardboard and tarps. They have a dirt floor and sleep on pieces of cardboard, and they have no electricity or water.
