LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, My name is Vianey, my husband’s name is Iván, and our son is Adriel. We are originally from the state of Chiapas, in southern Mexico. I have been living in Tijuana for the past ten years, while my husband arrived two years ago. We met here and started our family. Adriel is seven months old, and he is our first child. Thank God, he was born healthy. We currently live with my mother, who is 63 years old and a homemaker. In total, there are four of us in the household. At the moment, I am not working because I have no one to take care of my son. My mother, due to her age and health condition, is unable to do so. When Adriel was born, I decided to resign from my job to take care of him and give him the time and attention he needs. My husband works at a factory in the evening shift, from Monday to Friday, and sometimes on Saturdays when there is overtime. Sundays, his only day off, are spent running errands and doing grocery shopping. For the past two years, we have been paying for a piece of land, hoping to build our home. However, due to the expenses related to our baby, such as diapers, formula, and other necessities, along with the monthly land payments, our savings have not been enough to start construction. So far, we have managed to build the septic tank, level the land with machinery, and fence it. This is why we are seeking your support to build a house and finally move onto our land. Our greatest wish is to provide our son with a space of his own where he can grow up safely and happily. This dream holds special meaning for me because, since I arrived in Tijuana, I have never had a home of my own. For a long time, we rented, until, through great effort and hard work, I was able to save enough for the down payment on our land. However, paying both rent and the land’s monthly installment has been a challenge. Having a house would allow us to focus solely on the land payments, eliminating rent expenses and bringing greater stability to our family. Additionally, it would give us the opportunity to become independent and start a new chapter together. We trust in God and hope that, through you, our prayers will be heard. We deeply appreciate your time and any support you can offer.
