My weekly salary is 2,500 pesos, which is barely enough to cover my family's basic needs. Because of this, building a house has been very difficult, especially since I have two young daughters: Dafne, who is 5 years old, and Geraldine, who is 1. Four years ago, my wife and I decided to purchase a piece of land to stop renting or relying on borrowed housing from relatives. We are currently renting a place that is affordable, but it has many issues, such as humidity and the lack of a bathroom, making it hard for us to live comfortably.
