Hello! My name is Martha Patricia Martinez Chacon. I came to Tijuana with my three children some years ago because one of them was very sick but back in my town the doctors couldn’t help us, they never gave us a diagnosis. Thank God here in Tijuana after 4 years the doctors were able to diagnose my son with Autism and since then I started working very hard to give my son the medical help he needed. Thank God now he can talk, walk and even run. After all the therapy he has been taking, he’s a very different child. I’ve always worked at night in factories because that way I could take my other two children to school and my other son to therapy. The therapies lasted sometimes 3 or 4 hours. It’s only been 3 years since I’ve been with my current partner. For a while we worked together to share the expenses but last November I got sick and I lost my job so since January I’ve been cleaning a house a couple times a week, but I don’t make much. Now my oldest son works too, so that helps us somehow with our weekly expenses. Having our own home would relieve us from the big weight of paying for rent and for the land. Thank you so much for considering our petition, it would mean the world for us to receive a Home of Hope.
