Hello!! My name is Rosaura Espiritu, I’m a single mom of three wonderful children. Two of them are adults and live with my family and study in the south of Mexico and one of them, the minor, lives with me. I started coming to Tijuana back in 2019 in search of a better life and better opportunities. The salaries where I come from were not enough to sustain all of my children and their school expenses so I had to move. At first I had to leave without them and I would send them the money for their expenses. Since then, I’ve had to go back to my city a couple times because my parents have gotten sick and I wanted to support them. But with my sick parents and my salary again not being enough to help them buy medications I had to go back to Tijuana to be able to provide for all of that. Seeing our situation and that the rents were very expensive in Tijuana and constantly going up I decided to buy a piece of land for me and my children. My biggest desire is to have all of my children with me one day in our own home. My daughter and I are currently renting near our land but our dream is to be able to live in our land in something that belongs to us so we don’t have to be moving around constantly. I’ve tried to save to do it on my own but things always come up and I end up spending the money on something else. But God knows our desire and I know his times are perfect.
