Letter from the family:
Warm greetings to you! My motive for writing you is so that you would be able to understand a bit of our situation. I have been with my husband for 7 years and together, we have 4 children. For work, we sweep the sidewalks in Playas de Tijuana and with the little amount of items we have been given along the way- we sell those items to be able to pay for food. We were living in a home that someone let us borrow but after a few months, they asked for the home back. Because we had no money, we were forced to sleep out front of different hospitals and gas stations too. After that, we were able to find a place to stay short term while we put together money for rent. While we were looking for a place of our own, someone mentioned to us about a few properties that were for sale. We were without much hope when we went to see the properties! After speaking with the owner of the property, he told us we could start building our home there and slowly start paying him the down payment of the land- he understood our situation. Praise God, this is the story of how we now have our land! Now that I have found out about Homes of Hope, I ask you to consider giving my family a home. I want my kids to have a clean and safe place to live. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
