Family Story:

Teresa is originally from Oaxaca, in high school she fell in love with a classmate. They started dating and wanted to get married, but because they were not old enough, they lived with her mother-in-law. Teresa was not treated very well by the family and her mother-in-law made her do a lot of work around the house. Teresa’s husband worked long hours and was hardly home while she was home having babies and taking care of the house. After years together, Teresa found out that her husband had another woman in his life and he left Teresa alone with 5 children. Teresa went back to her mom but her mom became ill with cancer and 2 passed away 2 years later. Life was very difficult and Teresa couldn’t find a way out so she left and moved to Ensenada to start over. Once they got to Ensenada, Teresa met a woman who gave her work cleaning houses. She met her current partner at a park when he bought her children all a mexican corn from a food cart, and also invited them to church. And that was the start to her new home, met Christ and found out she had purpose.
