Noelia is from Oaxaca and when she was just 14 years old, she became pregnant with Paula. She moved out of her parents house and into the house of her boyfriend’s parents. She lived there for 4 years until her boyfriend left to work in the USA to earn more money. During the first 6 months after he left, he sent Noelia money for her and the girls. After those 6 months he stopped sending money because he said he wasn’t getting paid. Noelia moved out of her boyfriends and rented a house of her own and never got back with her boyfriend. Two years later, she started dating a good man named Severo. A year after they started dating they moved to Ensenada together in search of better opportunities. They rented a house until they found land to buy. They have not had the money needed to build a proper home; they have been living in a shack made of wood and tarps.
