FAMILY STORY:

Magali became a single mother at the age of 15. When she was with her first partner and was 3 months pregnant with his baby, he decided to leave her. A couple days later she found out that he was murdered for being involved in things he shouldn't have been. Magali raised her daughter with the support of her family, but it was too difficult for her and she moved into an organization called Casa Esperanza (Hope Home). Casa Esperanza is a place that helps women who have been mistreated or don't have sufficient resources. Once her daughter was born she started working and moved in with her family. She got together with a different man and they had a child, but left her because he didn't want the responsibility of taking care of the kids. Magali started paying for a piece of land, but later got sick from a bacteria that affected her brain and got fired from her job because of it. Without a job it has been hard to make the payments for the property and take care of her family.
