Family Story:
Maria and Luis come from Oaxaca. The moved to Ensenada about 4 years ago in search for a good job. At first, when they came they moved in with Luis’s aunt, but later started renting a room in really bad conditions. This is where their son was born.
Kevin was born during the winter and during this time the house was usually very cold so the baby couldn’t sleep. The roof would also leak when it rained so everything would get wet.
Maria and Luis were able to save some money and start buying a property of their own. Later on, Luis’s mother came from Oaxaca to be close to her son and brought her other son with her.
