FAMILY STORY:
Gabriela and Daniel have been together for 9 years and have 2 children. Erick is 7 years old and is in second grade. The youngest Gustavo, is 18 months old. 15 days after he was born they found a small abscess in his anus. When they took him to the doctor, he said that was caused by bacteria that is “eating” the intestine, this is very painful for Gustavo every time that he needs to go to the bathroom. It got more complicated and he spent one month in the hospital. The doctor said that he needs to be a little bit older to be able to do a surgery. She had to quit her job for this situation with Gustavo. And now they don’t have health insurance. She has been to different hospitals but no one has given a possible solution to Gustavo’s condition. They don’t have the money to cover the expenses, so now they can only leave him in God’s hands. Gabriela has been living for 2 months at her property, she used to live with her mom. Daniel works at a ranch during the week and even some weekends. They built a small room made of wood. With the situation of their son they can’t afford to build a better home, most of the money goes to medicine for Gustavo.
