Oscar and Abilene met in San Vicente. Abilene was studying, and every day walked in front of Oscar work, with time they met and started to talk and later they started a relationship and decided to live together. Oscar got another job in a ranch and for a year they were living there. After that they were changing locations, they lived with her mom for a time and invaded and empty property for a time. When they had problems with the owner moved with Adilene’s father and decided to look for a property and bought it with a credit. They have been living in it for six months now.

They built a small room on their property with wood and tarp, they don´t have a concrete floor and they don’t have a bathroom either. Oscar and Abilene work doing and selling churros. Earning around $500 pesos per day (Around 30 dlls).

Oscar is sick, he has Hepatitis C. His children don’t know about it because Oscar and Abilene don’t want to worry them. All of them are studying and they believe that if they know it could affect their performance in the school. Oscar, the older son, is a really good student with really good grades and their parent don’t want to do anything that could affect his performance.

Oscar and Abilene want a homes of hope house to give their children a better, safer place where to live. They know they don’t have the resource to do it by themselves, but they believe God can provide for their needs.
