FAMILY STORY:
Carlos is 29 years old and is from Oaxaca. Angelica is 28 years old and is from also from Oaxaca. They had two children Carlos who is 6 years old and is in 1st grade in elementary school and Osvaldo who is 7 years old and is in 2nd grade in elementary school.
Carlos and Angelica met in Ensenada. They have a small family and have been working hard to provide for all their needs. In September of this year they were able to buy the land where they have been living for 18 months. In that land they built a small room of wood scraps and cardboard. They don’t have the resources to build a more appropriate room, Carlos works selling vegetables and Angelica works packing vegetables. Together they earn around $ 2,000 pesos (Around $120 dlls) which is barely enough for the family needs.
They came asking for help to obtain a Homes of Hope house in order to provide their kids with a safe place to grow, to make memories together and that they can call home.
