Lee Company- Martinez Mora Family

Building Dates: July 8-9, 2016

Family Information:

Mother- Abelinda

  • Age: 41
  • Profession: Hair Stylist
  • Weekly Salary: $53

Family-

  • Julissa- age 19
  • Eduardo- age 11

Property Information:

Time with property - 9 years

Letter From the Family:

Hello,

My name is Abelinda, I am 41 years old, I am a single mother to my two children. My son's name is Luis Eduardo, he is 11 years old, and my daughter's name is Julissa, she is 19 years old. I live in a house that has been lent to me for years. The owner of the house offered it to me because people were breaking into it. So she said I could live there to deter the break ins. I have lived in that house since I got divorced, just my children and I. I have taken care of them completely, giving them what they need.

I am a hair stylist by profession and with this job I have provided for my kids. I have also paid for the land consistently and with sacrifice. But I do this knowing that this is something that I will leave for my children. And for them I am asking you all for a house. Because, I don't have the financial means to do it myself. Myself I can just keep up with the costs of maintaining my family.

Both of my children have behavioral disorders. My daughter was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. And my son has ADD. My daughter doesn't work yet, she is still in high school. Her disorder put her back two years in school. Both my kids receive free therapy from the government insurance. I don't have to pay the government for the therapy, which is a great benefit. But, I have to pay for the transportation to take them to their appointments.

If I am blessed with a house I would be so grateful with God and you all. I have seen that you have built houses for families with mothers and fathers. I hope you would think about building for me because I am a single mother.

Thank you so much.

We have never had the opportunity of owning a house, it has always been our dream , so this is a huge blessing for all of us!

Hello,

We came to Tijuana because one of our sons went to San Diego to study.
For us to be able to come all the way here we had to sell the few things that we had.
At the moment, we have made the effort of buying the property and have been working very hard to be able to pay it, so the house is a great help for us!

I, Francisco, as the man of the house, I have always longed to provide a home for my family, but sadly, I have never managed to do so.

We are all blessed by the opportunity.

Thank you.

Letter From the Family:

Greetings to those who read this letter,

The reason we are asking for help with a house is that 4 years ago we got a piece of land. We came to Tijuana with just enough money for our trip here. My husband, my baby of 9 month and I came in car. When we came to Tijuana we were hoping to meet people from Veracruz, where we are from, but we didn't know anyone when we moved here. My husband started to work selling ice cream because he is older in age so people wouldn't give him work. It was a struggle for him. Now he works gathering aluminum cans to sell. Thanks to God we have never gone without food.

It took us a long time to gather all the funds to buy our land. Now we just need a home to put on the land. We want a home for our children who are 4 and 5.

We used to live in another house but recently the owner told us we needed to move. Now we live in a small room we made. .

A warm greeting to all of you who read this letter, from the Ramos Medina family.

God bless you!

Property Information:

Time with property - 1 year

Letter From the Family:

Hello,

My name is Rosario Orozco Toro. I am writing this letter to ask your for help. Where I am living now is my aunt's house. And it is hard to live with another family member, because little things become problems.

We got here a few months ago and my aunt said instead of paying rent we should jut start paying for a piece of land. My mom and I pay together for the land payments. The days that I work, my mom helps me by watching my daughter. And the days that I have off, she works. The days that she rests,  my mom bakes bread with my aunt to get some extra money. My mom and I both work in a factory so we can get insurance.

We had been trying to save up, when at work I heard a fellow employee mention that her neighbor just got her house built. She told us we should go and ask you for information. I got Naara's phone number and I was told she could help us and give us the information we need. It was hard for me to get into contact with you all, because I called and called but the call never went through. And then one day the call went through.

So, that is why I am please asking you for help. It isn't possible for us to go live on the land, because we don't have anything. We started digging the septic and, if we have to, we will do whatever we can to do so. Truly, from the bottom of my heart I ask for help, because we need it.

Thank you so much.

Property Information:

Letter From the Family:

My name is Ernestina, and I am asking God and Youth With a Mission for help for my, my husband, and 3 grandchildren. My husband suffers from a deformation in his left occipital lobe which causes him headaches and convulsions. But, thank the Lord, his treatment has helped him some, because his convulsions haven't come back for the past 3 years. He will just get his sudden headaches. I have diabetes and high blood pressure. Some times I feel fine, but other times I am too tired and cannot work very much.

Everything was going well, but 6 months ago the owner of where we live asked for us to leave the house. His sister in law is moving in so we have to go. I have looked for houses but all the rent is too high with taking care of my 3 grand kids too. The oldest is my son's daughter. She lived with him until he started getting into drugs, then he left her with us. And the two younger are from my daughter who left with her boyfriend and didn't want us to call attention to the wrong she was doing and left her girls with us.

We ask from the bottom of hearts for this help. I am 55 and my husband is 53; sometimes I think we haven't done anything in our life but we have been given this opportunity. And we believe that God can bless us and give us the house that we have dreamed about. We would be so thankful with God and you all.

Thank you so much!

Letter From the Family:

To whom it may concern,

I, Albina Zauala Cruz, am truthfully stating that I live in El Ejido Lazaro Cardenas since 9 years ago. I am coming to you all because I am feeling desperate. A year ago I separated from my husband because he has a big problem with alcohol and he never made an effort to make a good home for our kids. He built a small room for us to live in but I had a lot of problems with the rains, because it was very leaky. It was also very uncomfortable for my kids. My sister saw we were living in a bad situation and invited us to live with her in her house. But, her house is very small and her, her husband, her kids, and her niece live there. And now my family lives there too all squished together.

I don't work because, I have to take care of my kids. The father of my kids gives me $500 peses a week, because he works in construction. I save from that for food and water, since we don't have to pay for electricity because we live with my sister. And I also take from that money to pay for the land.

But little by little we are getting there. That is why I believe in God and hope that I will qualify for a house for my children. They are innocent and shouldn't have to take on the blame of what their parents did wrong.

Thank you for listening!

Letter From the Family:

To whom it may concern,

I don't know how to start this letter. But I would like to start by saying, my God is beautiful and his faithfulness is great. I am not sure who will read this letter, but I know that I am not good at asking for anything. I have fought and worked very hard to give my family everything that is necessary. But there have been many times, where I feel as if I have lacked in giving them more. Sometimes I feel my strength giving out and then I look at my kids and they help me lift my face and not give up.

My kids have the power of encouraging me just by seeing them and hugging them, that gives me the energy to continue on. My kids have a lot of desires that I cannot not fulfill for them, even though my heart and soul would love to, I just have to ask God to let His will be done. And I know that God knows the desires of their hearts. He also knows the desires of my heart: that my kids would be happy and have everything that they need.

I think about what it would mean for my family to have a home to call their own, it would be so fantastic. My family has thought a lot about it. But I would always think that it isn't even possible. But, I know that for God nothing is impossible and he will do whatever is his will. And I know that anyone who blesses us, it is God blessing us through those people.

THank you so much and may God bless you all!

-Ciro David Ojeda Olea
