LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
To whom it may concern, Homes of Hope. My name is Magdalena Sánchez Rosales, and I am writing to request your support in improving my family’s living conditions. With great effort, my husband and I started saving money to pay the down payment for a piece of land. I worked to contribute, and with the money we saved, we paid for leveling the land and digging a septic tank. Later, we purchased wood and built a small room, followed by a bathroom. That’s how we were able to move in. Since then, we haven’t been able to make further improvements to the house because I had to stop working to take care of my children, as I had no one to look after them. For this reason, I am reaching out to you for help. Currently, we live in a room made of wooden planks, without a proper floor, which leaves us directly on the ground. This worries me greatly, as my children or we could be bitten by an animal. Additionally, the house is very cold, and the wind easily gets in. My greatest wish is to provide my children with a safe and comfortable home. I also face challenges in performing daily tasks like washing clothes outdoors, which is difficult in rainy, cold, or hot weather. Thank you in advance for your attention.
