Letter from the family:
Three years ago, I separated from my first husband, Liliana’s dad. I decided to separate from him, because he never wanted to build something for us and achieve anything together, I got a job to encourage him to have saving and start building a small home for us as a family, but it stayed only as plans. I got separated and continued to work and got a second job, because it was my dream to be able to build a house to have better opportunities, I hired a handyman to help me built, but I could only afford to make the foundation and some plumber. At this moment I had the opportunity to manage an OXXO store with my new partner, so we oversaw a store in Rosarito and we started saving again to continue to build. We both were working double shifts and we decided to ask to be transferred to another store in Tijuana to have time to be with my daughter during this time I realized I was pregnant, I went to review my credit score with the government for housing aid, but it was not enough for us to get the aid. The store that we worked at was robbed several times, so we asked for another change of store, but I got maternity leave and the people taking care of the store started handling the finances in a wrong way, so all the shortages were needed to be paid by us as managers. A month before my c-section, I needed to go back to work, because we were supposed to pay all the shortages. During this time, we were living with my mother in her small house, and we could not manage to live there the four us, so I decided to go and rent a house, it was hard because renting meant we would not have any money to build on our land, it came to the point that we worked only to pay debts.
We decided to leave the store in 2020 and I started working in a restaurant three times a week, my husband was hired an UBER driver and I sell things in the swap meet on Tuesdays.
We met HOH personnel at the restaurant when they went to have dinner, after being working there for some time. It has been a constant question since I started the process because I know there are people that needed the help far more then me, but I know God has the perfect timing and purpose. I admire everyone that is part of this ministry and everything that you do to bless each family.
