Family History

Rosa is originally from Zacatecas, when she was 15 her family moved to Ensenada due to issues with the cartel. Francisco has been living here for a while already, he and his family came due to family issues. 

They met working in the fields and dated for a while before they decided to move in together. After 6 months their first kid was born and they decided to move to la paz with Francisco's family for a year but he started to be aggressive and getting drunk a lot so Rosa came with her daughter, after Francisco apologized again and they got back together and had their second daughter. They returned to La Paz and had their other daughter. 

After a year they returned to Ensenada. Rosa worked for a while but with her daughters to take care of he had to stop. Francisco sometimes brings vegetables from work and she helps to sell to make money and help with the family expenses. Francisco works in the fields and they have been living in their new property for 2 and a half years. They want a home for their daughters.

Family History 

Maria is from Guadalajara and came to Ensenada with her husband looking for a better life quality. They had a home in the community of Durango but due to family problems during covid they had to split up. The husband sold the house without saying anything, they were home and the new homeowners came and kicked them out. Maria decided to move to a house that was for rent with her children and the husband left and they don’t know anything about him and he doesn’t send help. 

 She works packing chicken and rests on the weekends, her son Eduardo also works in a factory from monday to friday to help Maria with expenses. Her two daughters are currently studying Maria in high school and Ana in college. 

For Maria it has been hard to rent due to the lack of money but thanks to Walk the Talk and other people they have been able to buy land. Maria knows she will soon have a place to live with a better life quality.
