Family Story:
Leslye and Adolfo met here in Ensenada 8 years ago. Adolfo is from Sinaloa and when they met, he was living back and forth between Sinaloa and Ensenada where a sister lived. Three years after they met, Leslye and Adolfo started living together in a free union and moved to Sinaloa where they lived with Adolfo's parents. In Sinaloa they had their son Axel. During this time, Adolfo worked in the fields and Leslye took care of their son. After a year of living with Adolfo's parents, they realized how hard it was for them as a family and how hard it was for Adolfo to find good work, and they decided to move back to Ensenada. Adolfo's family came with them. When they first moved back, they rented a small house where the entire family lived. At first, Adolfo worked doing maintenance on secondhand stoves and reselling them. One year ago Leslye's dad donated a piece of land to them where they would be able to build a pace of their own. Adolfo and his father currently sell tomatoes and Leslye stays home to care for her family. They are living in a small one room house that they built on the land Leslye's father gave them.
