Family History
Luis Guillermo was born in La Paz and came to Ensenada 10 years ago with his parents when he was 12, his parents came to Ensenada because they found a job here.
Alva is from Guerrero and came to Ensenada with a job contract to work in the fields. They both met 8 years ago and then decided to move in together. They have been together for 9 years, they have two daughters Irene who is 7 months old and Miriam who is 7 years old.
At the moment Luis Guillermo works in the field cutting Betabel from Monday to Saturday and only rests on Sundays.
They rented for a while and then decided to buy property in payments. They have been living there for 2 years. Luis Guillermo and Alva build a small room made out of wood, tarp and metal. They haven’t been able to build another home because they don’t have enough money. Luis Guillermo’s mom got a home about a month ago so he hasn’t lost hope that he will soon get one for his family.
