Historia de la familia

Antonio y Maria del Carmen are from Acapulco and 4 years ago they decided to come live in Ensenada, with his kid and Antonio’s mom porque there was a lot of crime in Acapulco, they came to Ensenada looking for a job.

In Ensenada their first daughter was born (Adele). A family member told them about how to get property here in Ensenada. Antonio’s mom helped them with some money so they could get the property.

In July 2020 Maria del Carmen had some throat sores and she started having fever and pain, when they went to the doctor the doctor told them she had thyroid problems but she stopped tasting food and would cough blood.

They took her again to the hospital and a doctor evaluated her and told her she had Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. This makes her organs get inflamed and her articulations too.  Maria del Carmen was in the hospital for 3 days and was ok after that but sadly she felt sick again and the doctor that worked with her had to leave and they couldn't contact him. They gave her different medicines due to nothing working and she seemed like she wasn’t sick, but she started convulsing and fell into a coma and they couldn’t do anything for her. In August Maria del Carmen passed away. It has been hard for her family to move on.

Antonio’s mom helps with the kids, takes care of them while Antonio works. Maria heard about Homes of Hope from other people, sadly due to COVID they haven’t received a home. For Antonio it has been hard not having his wife with him, and now they are hoping for a home because they can live better and it's what her mom would have wanted.
