Travel Documents — YWAM San Diego/Baja

Travel Documents:

On this page you will find more information about the documents you must have, to enter into Mexico and the U.S. Please note that this information may change at any time. Check back here regularly for changes.

  • For those teams traveling by bus into Mexico, it is required that all passengers have a valid passport that is good for six months after their trip. However, for those who are unable to secure a passport in time, if you notify us in advance we will arrange for you to travel to Mexico by car and you will be able to enter Mexico without a passport since Baja California is considered a “free zone.” To re-enter the United States without a passport please bring a valid birth certificate and a government-issued photo I.D. such as a driver’s license or global entry card. It is optimal to have a passport for all team members who can secure one in time.

  • If someone on your team does not have a passport we strongly suggest that they apply for one ASAP. They can take up to 6 weeks to process.
