Also, by having our own house we won't have to worry about the owner coming and asking us to leave. By having our own home we wouldn't have to worry about being forced to leave for any reason. That i why we are asking that you build us a house.

Letter From the Family:

To whom it may concern,

We are a family of four, my 3 children and me. I was married to my husband for 4 years and then he went to the United States to better our economic situation. After the first year he forgot about us. So, I put myself to work as a janitor in a juvenile center. My salary there was good enough and it was enough for me to provide for my kids for 9 years.  But, 2 years ago I had to quit because they were trying to force me to change cities to Mexicali. I couldn't move there because of my kids, my mom helped me by watching them while I worked.

Since then I haven't been able to better my economic situation. I struggled a lot to find a good job, many people denied me work because of the discrimination from my previous employers. My aunt saw me struggling to find a job and she gave me a job in her market stand. And thank the Lord I have been able to keep my kids going forward with their studies, which is so important for their futures.

A few months ago I got my piece of land and started paying for my monthly land payments instead of paying rent.

It is embarrassing for me to have to ask you all for help, but I have seen that you all have helped a lot of people in need. But, truthfully, I need the help since I haven't been able to build anything or expand my house. My house is a medium sized room with a division to separate a bedroom and a small kitchen area. But, I am afraid that a poisonous animal will come into the house and bite one of kids. Also with the rains, I know my house is not strong enough to with stand them. In the past a lot of water leaked into the house. Like any other mom, I want what is best for my kids. And right now I can't give them that, nor privacy and comfort.

With that, I will do whatever I have available in my hands to help them. That is why I am here asking you all for your support. I want to thank you all beforehand a thousand times for giving your time to read this letter to be able understand my economic situation and family.

Sincerely, Elvia Berenice Ramos Morales

With this letter I would like to explain to you the motive and reasons for which we are in need of a house.

We are a family of six members. I have four kids and all six of us sleep in one room. And because of our low income we cannot build our house.

Three of my kids are in elementary school and only my husband works. I have to buy them their uniforms and shoes for school. I would be so thankful with all of my heart to be able to be one of the fortunate families that qualify for a house.

Letter From the Family:

Hello, my name is Claudia Liliana Lopez Estrada.

Even though it took awhile for me to find your organization, I have come to ask for your help with the support of a house. How much my husband makes isn't enough for us. We have a boy of 2 years and a baby of 7 months, but since the room we live in leaks from every side, the boys get sick very often. I have been taking them to urgent care a lot. A lot of mud gets tracked in the house and our clothing get all wet. It truly is hard to live like this. Not necesarrily because of us, but for the babies.

We have been living in theses conditions for about 3 months and it is kind of sad because, I as well have bad health. I have kidney stones but haven't been able to get the medical attention for it because of lack of money. But I am going in next week to see if the hospital will attend to me because my condition is urgent. The pains can be really bad at times.

I also would like to mention that my niece lives with us too. About a year ago my sister left with her boyfriend to Michoacan and left her with us. It all happened so fast and so I didn't get al the legal things. But her boyfriend didn't love her with her daughter so that is why I took charge of her. She really likes living with us.

I have a lot of faith and hope to receive your great help/

Thank you so much!

Letter From the Family:

First of all, good morning, in this letter I want you all to know the reason in which I came to your association to ask help with the construction of a home.

We are a very humble family of four, my wife, my two kids, and I. I am originally from Chiapas. We came to this state to search for a better future, but unfortunately we haven't ben doing so well. I haven't been able to give my children a good place to stay. With a lot of work I was able to get a piece of land and build  little house out of plywood and tarps. None of the materials were new. It was all bought inexpensive but they aren't very good. And unfortunately with al the rains, the house was destroyed.

It has been very difficult for me to continue to build my house because I make very little. My wife is a foreigner so they don't let her work. She studied how to cut hair and now makes a few cents cutting our neighbors hair. The government doesn't support and we can't find support in any other place. That is until someone told about this great mission. And that is when I went to the church to ask for your help.

I hope I am not bothering you all, but the truth is I am in need of your help. I am begging the Lord that I am heard.

Thank you so much for taking your time to read this. I hope a quick response.

-Luis Antonio Pinto Lopez

Time with property - 7 months

Letter From the Family:

My name is Maria Guadalupe Vargas Candido,

First of all I wanted to thank this great, beautiful mission for all that you do for all of the families with need, like us. It fills us with hope and happiness. Thank you for being who you are. May God bless everyone of you all.

I am Guadalupe and I have two kids, the older is 15 years old and the younger is 12 years old. My husband abandoned us for someone else the 2nd of April in 2010. Since then we haven't really known much about him. Sometimes he talks to my boys but he has never really wanted to help us. Being a single mother is very difficult and it can be sad because I don't make very much money either.

My salary is sometimes not enough for our expenses and even less for a house. It is very expensive and so I took my kids to live in my parent's house. During the week I sell nopal in the streets. And on my days off I clean houses. But, that wasn't enough so I had to take my son Raul out of middle school; he only had 3 month to go before he was going to graduate. But, we didn't have money for the rent and land and to pay for his school expenses.

So with all of this we are asking you  all for help. We have such a big need and we hope that you can help us. Thank you so much for your attention and interest in our situation. Thank you so much!

-Guadalupe

To whom is may concern,

Many blessings and protection for you all! May God bless you all for having such a great heart to serve families in need.

My name is Mirna Elizabeth Ramirez, I live in Terrazas del Sol. Currently, I find myself very sick with diabetes and high blood pressure. I have gone to the doctor and now I have some medication to take for the symptoms. Recently, due to strong rains, my house flooded with water and many of our belongings such as important documents, clothing, and books we ruined. Now when it looks like it going to rain or starts to rain a little I get very nervous.

I sell candy for work. I sell candies with a friend of mine, but when it rains or if she is gone I cannot sell. I don't make a lot selling, but it helps buy food for our family. I give you my honest word and say that I am in need of the house. I would not use it wrong because it would be such a great blessing from God. He knows in a personal way how much I need this because he is my father , my friend, the provider of all my needs. It is such a blessing to have a home to live in. And if I were to have one I would be immensely happy for the rest of my life. And my son and grandson would be protected from having to live on the streets.

May God bless you all greatly, Mirna

We are coming to you all to ask for help in the building of a house on our land. With the economic situation with which we live, we don't have the resources to build for ourselves. I work in a factory and I make about $58 a week. I save half to be able to make our land payments and the rest I have to use for groceries, personal expenses, and to pay utilities. My husband is a musician, and his work is not very stable. When he works he will make about $58 and then we use that for house expenses and for school fees. But sometimes he can go a few weeks without work and he hasn't studied to be able to find other work.

I hope that you can support me.

  • pregnancy of 7 months

Property Information:

Time with property - 6 months

Letter From the Family:

We, the family Landa Hernandez, are writing you this letter.

I, Nayeli, will tell you of our actual situation. Ever since our son Alexis came into this world we have been either renting a home, or living with our parents. A few months ago where we have been renting, the owner told us we have t leave the house because they would need to use the house again. From there my sister in law decided to let us use a room in her house.

We also decided to take a big step forward, to begin to pay for a piece of land. We have the illusion of building a house, but due to economic questions it has been hard for us. And we have found out about "Homes of Hope". For us it is an illusion but also a real need to have a house.

I currently find myself pregnant, and that worries me. We live in a very small room that barely the three of us fit into. Our desire is to have a home for our children. If you could help us it would be something so significant for our family, but if not we understand.

Thank you so much for taking time to read these words.

  • Melanie, age 1

Property Information:

Time with property - 7 months

Letter From the Family:

My name is Rosa Bracho Lopez, I am 27 years old and I am a single mother for my daughter of 1 year. I was living with my child's father but we had problems and he abandoned us. He didn't want me to put his last name for our first child and I haven't heard of him since he left.

I need a house from you all because I started to pay for a piece of land. With the salary that I don't have enough to build something. Little by little, and with the help of others, I was able to raise up a small room made of pieces of wood. The room doesn't have a floor and I use it for my kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. It has no windows and the roof is made of wood; we have nothing to protect against the rain. And since where I live there isn't running water, we buy water from the water truck.

I would love if you could help build us a house so my kids can have a place to grow up in. I hope you take into account my situation and can come and visit us soon, my doors will always be open. Thank you so  much for helping people like myself who also don't have the resources to build themselves something.

Sincerely, Rosa and Melany Bracho

To whom it may concern,

I want to first and foremost give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for the blessings that he pours out over our lives.

My small family consists of my wife Rosa Maria, my daughter Ivanna, and myself. We are a new marriage starting with nothing material. But we are currently paying for our property in El Ejido Lazaro Cardenas. Thank the Lord that he has allowed us to tart having good materials.

Our economic situation is not very stable. And as the head of the family I found myself diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder. My income is very small as is, and with my sickness I am not able to make any more. And my wife has been looking for a job but hasn't been able to find one. So has been doing informal jobs such as, selling tamales.

We trust in God that he will open doors. He knows, more than anyone else, our needs and that is why we have come to you. To ask you all for the support of a house; a place where we can see our daughter grow and play.

Today I don't have any money for the construction of a house, but I am worried for the well being of my family. We are currently living in my parent's house so we do not have any privacy either. Thank the Lord I have had their support. They are two great examples for my spiritual life.

I know that the work you all do is very big, but we also know that through God you will be rewarded.

A cordial greeting and we hope to hear your answer soon!
