Family Story:

Miriam was born and raised here in Ensenada. At the age of 12 her parents got separated so Miriam’s mom had to take care of her and her siblings. Later on in her life Miriam met Mario at a store where she worked at. And a year after they met, they decided to move in together. So they did and started a family. Not even a year later they already had their first born Eliazar and after that had 3 more children.

At the start of their living together, they were able to pay rent since it was affordable and the family was small. But as the rent would go up, so would the number of members in the family. Eventually, they couldn’t afford to pay rent since it was getting to high, so they moved into Mario’s mom’s house while they tried to find another place to live in. There was a lot that they found so they started paying it and with time Mario was able to build a small room for them to live in since they’re not able to afford anything bigger than that.
