Overview
This year, we are very excited to introduce a new format for School of Worship. We will be running the school as an internship, allowing us to focus on more hands on ministry. In stead of a 12 week lecture phase, followed by an optional 8 week lecture phase, the school will be a 20 week internship, still maintaining the core of what makes up School of Worship, but creating opportunities to be more involved in community life at the YWAM center, along with more opportunities to participate in a variety of worship and prayer focused ministries, in a variety of different settings.
The purpose of the internship is multi-faceted. For each of our interns we seek to:
• Train, Equip and Develop worship leaders and those involved in worship ministry to be the most effective they can be in their area of influence, and give them experience critical to their development in worship and prayer ministries.
• Help give the interns a biblical understanding of what Worship is. Not what culture tells us or the thousands of books, but what the Bible says about worship.
• Provide a place where the student can go deeper with God; to ignite and fan in to flame our Passion for Jesus.
We seek to lead worship as much as possible so that interns can continue to gain experience and grow in their skills. This often happens in a corporate setting; church, or youth group, in our team, and in our prayer room. We set up preaching and teaching opportunities to meet a need in churches or at other YWAM locations for worship and prayer teams, so that our students can learn to communicate their heart for intimacy with God. We also try to serve in areas of need in the community and evangelize through street outreaches and personal relationships. We will be participating in several different worship and prayer ministries, aimed at the local church, and our YWAM community.
The classes of the SOW internship with be small group driven, as the school is designed to work with a small number of students, with a lot of emphasis on personal attention and discipleship. We will be studying many different topics in the small group setting including;

• Gifts of the spirit
• Band Development
• The Kingdom: Here and Now
• Character of a Worshipper
• Worship and Intercession
• Worship and Missions
• Prophetic Prayer
• Sound Reinforcement
• The Root & Fruit of Pride
• Song Arrangement & Recording
Worship is our response to the revelation of who God is, and What he has done! The more we seek Him, the more we’ll see Him revealed in every aspect of our lives. The more we see Him revealed, the more captivated we are by Him. If we seek Him, we will find Him, and when we find Him, our heart’s automatic response will be to lift him up in awe and adoration.
