So you’ve put in your application, you’ve got your acceptance pack, you’re all fired up ready to come to Mexico. Here are a few things to think about to prepare you to come.
- Make sure you have a valid passport.
- Make sure you have the required Visas.
- Buy travel insurance for the 5 months that you’re with us. Make sure it covers you in USA and central America.
- Go through the list of “Things to Bring” in the acceptance pack and make sure you have everything on the list.
- Visit your doctor and ask for a list of injections that you may need for visiting Mexico and other countries located in your outreach’s target area.
- Buy yourself a Spanish phrase book, and start to learn a few basic words and phrases.
- Get your Church address list and addresses of friends and family. This is for when you write your news letters.
- Tell your friends, family and Church what you’re up to, so they can be praying for you and supporting you while your away.
- Pray for your time here and for your classmates.
- Lastly come with an open heart to know God more.

Visa applications are different for each nationality, but these are the basic guidelines that you need follow before you come. Our registrar and HR department can help you with any specific details.
We ask that everyone coming to the school to have Visa’s enabling them to enter the USA and Mexico, this process needs to be started at least 3 months before you plan to come, and please make sure you have your Visas before you book your tickets.
USA Visas. (Multiple Entry B1/B2 Visa)
This is different for each country. Please visit your local US Embassy website to find out the procedure. Our Registrar can help you with a letter of reference if you need it.
Mexican Visa
- FMTT VISA
- People from certain countries are required to attain a FMTT visa for Mexico before coming to do their DTS at one of our locations in Mexico. Please click here to find out if you need a FMTT visa.
- If your country is listed you must go to your own countries Mexican consulate to apply for the Visa. If your country does not have a Mexican consulate you must find the consulate nearest to you. Unfortunately we are legally unable to provide a letter of reference for the FMTT visa.
- If your country is not on the list for the FMTT visa we will help process the correct permission you will need to stay in Mexico.Please send a clear copy for your passport to our DTS registrar at least 2 weeks before your school starts. Fees for this visa are approx. $35 USD.
