Are you interested in joining YWAM San Diego/Baja as short term staff? We’ve laid out some simple steps for you to follow.
Step 1
You can complete this first step online by clicking here …or you can download the Short Term Application here (445.6 K) print it out and fill it in.
Step 2
Once you’ve completely filled out the Application Form, then it’s time for the Reference Forms. You’ll need to download our Reference Form PDF (67.5 KB) and follow the easy steps below:
- Print it out twice (we need two references)
- Give one of them to your pastor or spiritual leader.
- Give the other one to an employer, teacher, or friend. We encourage you to give them an envelope that you’ve already addressed and put a stamp on so they can mail the form directly to us.
- Remind your references to mail us the forms!
Step 3
Once you’ve delivered your Reference Forms to the right people, then it’s time to schedule a doctor’s appointment. First download and print out our Health Questionnaire PDF (76.4 KB). Ask your physician to fill it out and mail or fax it back to us.
Step 4
Please complete the below forms and mail or fax them back to us.

Consent for Treatment (Adult)
Step 5
Please mail us a recent Photo of yourself.
Step 6
We are now required to conduct background checks. Please download the Hire Safe form and fill it out for so we can complete this process. It will be marked clearly as to what pages you are to keep and what needs to be sent back to us.
PLEASE NOTE : If you are a resident of California you will need to fill in page 4 of the form. Other state residents can skip that page.
*For Canadian residents please go to your local RCMP or Police Station and obtain a police/abuse record check and have them send it to the YWAM address.
Step 7
Please mail or fax us a copy of your most recent driving record from the DMV.
Step 8
We will need a scanned copy of your passport please. Do not fax your copy in as it will appear illegible. It will be necessary for all short term staff to have there passport while serving in Mexico.
Step 9
Please send the COMPLETED application (unless filled out online), references, hire safe form, driving record, background check forms to our office below
