Long Term Staff Application

Thank you for your inquiry regarding long term staff involvement in this ministry.

YWAM San Diego/Baja combines four operating locations together as one entity. We offer short-term mission programs designed for youth pastors to bring their teenagers on a full service, no hassle missions experience. Thousands come from all over the United States and Canada for Spring Break and Summer each year. The rest of the year, we host family and business groups for long weekends, building homes for the poor in the local colonias in Mexico. We also host several conferences each year, run training schools and gather each month as a large family for combined community meetings. It is a very exciting high-energy environment to live and work in with a close family atmosphere as we all go about making a difference for God’s kingdom in northern Baja.

If you’re feeling drawn to work with young people and to Latin America, join us in San Diego, Tijuana, Ensenada or the Dominican Republic. These are not paid positions but YWAM volunteer roles. All long term positions require graduating from a Youth With A Mission Discipleship Training School.

There are several steps to the application process for long-term staff. Please read carefully the steps below. Our staff are standing by to assist you should you need it (contact details). You can choose the online (Method 1) or offline (Method 2) way of applying.

Please note that husbands and wives should complete separate applications

Method 1 – Online Application

• Step 1: To complete this first step online please click here

• Step 2: Please send a recent photo of yourself to our office
• Step 3: Arrange for three (3) sealed references forms from:
  1. DTS leader or previous YWAM school leader’s evaluation (Download Form)
  2. Supervisor’s or base leader’s reference form (Download Form)
  3. Pastor’s reference form (Download Form)
• Step 4: Arrange for Physician to complete health questionnaire and return. (Download Form)
• Step 5: Please complete the Waiver of Liability / Consent for Treatment form and return. (Download Form)
• Step 6: As of January 2007 we are required to conduct a background check. Please download the Hire Safe form and fill it out for so we can complete this process. It will be marked clearly as to what pages you are to keep and what needs to be sent back to us.
• Step 7: We will need a scanned copy of your passport please. Do not fax your copy in as it will appear illegible.

Method 2 – Download and Print Application

Please download and complete the questions on the the Short Term Application form as well as the Long Term Application Addendum. The application(s) will be considered when all the items listed below are mailed or faxed to our Human Resources Department. If a question does not apply to you, write N/A in the blank.

1. Complete the application form. Use a separate sheet of paper when needed.

2. Send a recent photograph of less than a year old.
3. Arrange for three (3) sealed references forms from:
   1. DTS leader or previous YWAM school leader’s evaluation
   2. Supervisor’s or base leader’s reference form
   3. Pastor’s reference form
4. Arrange for Physician to complete health questionnaire and return.
